1899 PENN
Only three blocks away from the White House, 1899 Penn is a 11 story office-amenity we are proud to have worked with the D.C. STUDIOS team on. SEED's primary focus was the lobby/amenity floor, so an impactful first impression was extremely important. The lighting was designed with the intention to draw curiosity out of passer-buyers and to use special decorative moments to emphasize interactive areas.
A wrap-around glass entry showcases multiple high-design wooden coves with a large, decorated millwork piece fastened with integrated lighting. Decorative moments are vast; soft light emerges from a wooden detail behind the reception desk while a diffuse pendant grounds the cafe area. Additionally, downlights placed perfectly in baffle ceilings and flawless perimeter lights throughout are supportive yet don't take away from the architectural features.
